Celebrating a Year of Great Beer: Recap of Culture On Tap Festival

Craft beer and culture took the spotlight on June 3 as we at Brockton Beer Company along with Downtown Brockton Association celebrated BBC's taproom one year anniversary with the Culture On Tap Festival. Though the weather was rainy with heavy gusts, the event was a huge success, thanks to a vibrant cultural atmosphere, delicious food, and a range of excellent craft breweries. In this post, we'll take a look at the festivities and highlights of the festival, as well as share some insights on why we continue to craft for community.

1. The Festival Highlights
Culture On Tap Festival featured a vibrant cultural atmosphere that highlighted Brockton's cultural roots. In addition to great craft beer, festival-goers enjoyed delicious food from local vendors, a range of vendors, and live music. Musical headliners of the night were Keith Murray and Ed O.G., who thrilled the crowd with their energetic performances.  Local artists also included heavy metal band Wisdom & War, social media star Annie Hartigan, pop rapper Scott Isbell, New Bedford-bred soul artist James Cappra, and many others.

2. The Beer Selection
The festival featured a wide selection of beer from various breweries, including our brand new beers Cappachino (stout) and Killa Bees (NEIPA). Other breweries that participated include Widowmaker, Lost Shoe, Lamplighter, The Girls Brewery, and many more. The selection was quite diverse, ranging from IPAs, Lagers, Sours, and Stouts, ensuring that everyone could find a beer they loved.

3. Great Food
The festival also offered a variety of delicious food from local vendors, including lobster sliders from Lobzter King, quesadillas from Teffy's, fried chicken from Lady C&J and more. The food selection was varied, offering something for everyone, no matter what their taste buds craved. Vegan and vegetarian options were also available, ensuring that no one was left out.

4. The Importance of Inclusivity
One of the core values of Brockton Beer Company is inclusivity, and this was evident throughout the festival. We are committed to providing a welcoming and inclusive space for people of all backgrounds to enjoy great beer, and the festival is a reflection of this. We are committed to being a catalyst for revitalizing downtown Brockton and making a positive impact on our surrounding community.

Culture On Tap Festival was a perfect showcase of our commitment to inclusivity and great beer. The festival offered a vibrant cultural atmosphere, delicious food, and an excellent selection of craft beers from various breweries.
